Biological examination
Biological examinations
Biological examinations are performed at HGOPY for both inpatients and outpatients. The samples taken are the following:
- Blood samples (venous, capillary and arterial),
- Urinary samples,
- Various samples (ENT, stool, ...).
The laboratory of medical biology is versatile. Its activity sectors are as follows:
- Biochemistry (cholesterol, triglycerides, glycemia, potassium, gamma GT ...),
- Hormonology, (Prolactin, FSH, LH.),
- Serology (toxoplasmosis, rubella, hepatitis, HIV, ..),
- Hematology (Blood Formula Count, Haemostasis ...),
- Microbiology (cytobacteriological examination of urine, stool, stool culture, PCV, etc.),
- Parasitology (Stool Review, Microfilaria Research)
Our state-of-the-art laboratory is enrolled in a Quality Assurance process, in the perspective of its accreditation.

Blood bank
The laboratory has a well equipped blood bank capable of delivering uncontaminated blood bags for people in distress. To ensure the continued availability of blood, you will be asked to bring two donors per blood bag.
